As Hurricane Sandy loomed over the East Coast, we met up with Phoebe and Mike as part of our engagement marathon at Bird Park in Walpole Massachusetts in late October. The couple met while attending school together at Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island.
Childhood friends, Ashley and Bryan were scattered by the winds of life for many years before fate brought them back together. Impulse brough them to Boston where they shared a moment of their lives for an engagement session with us shortly before Sandy shook the last of the leaves from the trees. We met up at Bird Park in East Walpole, MA which is a wonderful place for engagement photography because it has a variety of different landscapes all in one beautiful (and convinient setting just a short distance away from Boston).
As the cars drove along the winding Maine roads to Acadia National Park in Maine, the world was still shrouded in clouds and fog. The rain from the night before made all the colors on the ground look so saturated and almost more than real. It was a trip that Ian and his family had made for decades, but now the place they had shared would take on a more special meaning. The wedding was small, 15 family and friends gathered to celebrate their marriage in the great cathedral of nature.
