Larry and Teresa July 9, 2011: A Massachusetts Wedding
In the days before a wedding, Murphy's Law gets a lot of exercise. For Larry and Teresa, place cards wouldn''t print, the air conditioning had gone out and rain threatened to cast a shadow over the ceremony and the family portraits planned around the grounds of the groom's alma mater, Wheaton College (Norton, Massachusetts).
Fortunately, the storm clouds kept moving and that Saturday was a beautiful summer day in New England. From near and far, Larry and Teresa brought together their friends and family to celebrate their union in the Cole Memorial Chapel. Teresa wore a boutique strapless wedding gown, accented with beadwork, the groom was in a black tuxedo with an ivory vest, with the bridal party sporting green.
The wedding was a blend of the traditional and personal. Solemnizing the ceremony with a bit of wit and wisdom was a friend and coworker, and others shared readings on the theme of love and relationships.
The decor was simple, but elegant, with a number of hand-made details and flourishes with romantic silhouettes decorating many of the pieces from the invitations, to the programs to the cake. The reception was held upstairs at Benjamin's in Taunton, Massachusetts where teh DJ kept everyone cutting loose throughout the evening.
