Arlington Wedding - Arlington Town Hall May 16, 2015
When someone tells you about their city hall wedding, what comes to mind? At their Arlington Town Hall Wedding in Arlington, MA, Jamie and Peter threw those expectations out the window by taking over the building and transforming the space with light to turn the WPA-era architecture into a night full of a thousand stars and dancing.
In this non-traditional space just north and west of Boston, the couple were able to create a beautiful wedding experience for their loved-ones. The same space was used for both the ceremony and reception, with staff turning over the auditorium during the cocktail hour where guests had a chance to mingle ans well as enjoy a few drinks and passed hors d'eouvres. After dinner the DJ brought up the lights and transformed the space from elegant dining experience to something a lot more exciting.
Wedding colors were a simple blue and white, with bridesmaids each picking a dress that suited them in the same color family. The bride wore a full-length sequined a-line white gown for the wedding, which was held on a beautiful day in May. Portraits of the bridal party were taken in the gardens adjacent to town hall. With spring coming late to Massachusetts, many of the trees and bushes were still in bloom so it helped to create a beautiful backdrop for their Boston wedding photography.
Congratulations to Jamie and Peter, it was an amazing event and a beautiful evening (my one regret is not having tried out the smore station).
