Fenway Park Wedding: Jocelyn and Paul's Opening Day
It might not have been a beautiful day for a ball game at Fenway Park, but it was an amazing day for Paul and Jocelyn's wedding at the iconic stadium. The couple, college sweethearts, bonded over baseball and wove the sport into the fabric of their wedding with all manner of small flourishes appropriate to a Fenway Park Wedding.
As a Boston Wedding Photographer, we're used to seeing the occasional references to teams hidden amid all the wedding decor - colors picked with an eye toward the Celtics or a groom's cake with the Bruins' logo. But on the bold red and white palette the love of the game was almost as prominently displayed as the love between the bride and groom. Flower arrangements included roses made from baseballs, neatly stitched together; cupcakes were decorated like baseballs; guests were invited to sign a miniature verson of teh Green Monster; and the ring bearer carried the wedding bands in a new glove.
But the best part of this wedding wasn't in the decor, it was with the couple and the community of family and friends they had gathered to celebrate their union (or even your humble Boston Wedding Photographer). With some great food provided by the catering at Fenway's EMC Club, and Baltazar Entertainment keeping feet on the dance floor, it was an amazingly fun way for Jocelyn and Paul to spend the opening day of their marriage.
