Beachmere Inn Wedding, Ogunquit ME - Lauren and James
We scrambled down the narrow path just as the sun was setting over the land, its rosy light spilling out across the Atlantic and against the far sky that stretched endlessly away from the cliffs of Ogunquit, Maine. James and Lauren had snuck away from their intimate wedding at the Beachmere Inn for a few photos on the cliffs that plunged right into the still-cold waters of the ocean (snuck of course being a relative term when one of the party is in a beautiful white dress, drawing a crowd of onlookers).
These were images meant to be a romantic, sweeping capstone to a beautiful day filled with family and friends that had come together from across the country to celebrate their marriage on one fine August afternoon at the Beachmere Inn.
The wedding ceremony itself was set against a beautiful backdrop of the Atlantic ocean, just across the hedgerow, with a sky dappled with clouds. Flower petals were strewn over the aisle and the small audience was gathered up in front of the wedding arch to hear the couple exchange their vows. Cocktails and pictures followed right outside of the inn's doors, on a patio strung with lights.
The eveing ended with a tented reception that lead on into the warm summer night, where teh couple sang and danced with their family and friends, showcasing teh best parts of a more intimate wedding on the coast of Maine.
