Are second photographers a must or a bust for your Cape Cod wedding? Blogs and wedding magazines are very enthusiastic about the prospect, but do they meet the hype?

Personally I shoot 90% of my weddings on my own. A great second photographer can add a lot to wedding coverage but I believe that you can get fantastic wedding coverage with just one, experienced and devastatingly handsome Boston wedding photographer. However, I do have a big network of fellow professionals I work with and I’m happy to bring them aboard for a wedding day to get the extra angles and coverage you might crave if your wedding calls for it.

My philosophy is that as a solo photographer I am focused on the couple and their VIPs, telling the story of the day as it surrounds them. Bringing on a second is about stepping back and getting the wider picture of the day, folding in more of the details and the guests to give context and texture to the coverage.
