Frequently Asked Questions: What gets delivered with the package?
This is part of a short series of posts inspired by Top Ten Questions to Ask Your Boston Wedding Photographer answering some of the most important questions couples should ask their wedding photographer. If you’re still looking for a photographer for your Boston (or anywhere else in New England) wedding, then head over to my contact form.
Long after the DJ has turned out the lights and the venue has chased out the stragglers with a broom, all that’s left of your wedding day will be your memories and photographs.
So what does that generally look like?
All of my wedding packages start with a digital gallery - where we’ve hand picked all of the awful takes out and shined everything up so it looks nice and pretty. The size of the gallery can vary wildly based on the length of the shoot and what’s happening during the day, so I am a little evasive with guaranteeing a number but 50 images per hour of coverage is pretty average. From the gallery you can download everything and then print things and share them with your friends and family with all the ease and convenience that the internet has created.
If you’ve picked a package with an album or you’re looking to add prints - there are a couple of extra steps…
Prints: You select the images you want as prints through Ryan Richardson Photography and let us know the size and style of print you’re looking to purchase (we’ll have a guide for that). We’ll have a brief chat about any additional retouching for the image, send you a proof and then send it off to the printers. (Delivery on this tends to be a week if things aren’t busy).
Albums: If you’re ordering an album as part of a package, I will typically include a pre-designed album along with the gallery to expedite the process. You’ll provide any feedback (want different images? Bigger pages? More pages? Notes on retouching? What about the cover style?) and I’ll create a second proof. Once that gets approved, it’s off to the printer and to your doorstep (allow about a month for production and delivery).
