The past few years have left a lot of couples wondering what would happen if they suddenly need to change their wedding plans. Maybe it’s just downsizing the event. Perhaps it’s rescheduling things. Or you just want to throw up your hands and just go down to the courthouse for an hour to get things done rather than reschedule for the 10th time.
It’s difficult to give a hard and fast answer - in 2020 we were able to postpone or cancel all of the events we had on the calendar. It was more difficult to do that in 2021 but most of our clients went ahead with smaller events and there wasn’t as much of a need. As an artist, I try to be empathetic to clients that are going through it but a lot of things will come down to context and contracts. Sometimes we can bump things for a new date, change up a package, offer a credit, but other times things might not work out because a date has already been booked.
