There are many things that can go wrong with a wedding shoot that might leave a couple feeling unsatisfied with what was delivered. As I mentioned in my post on backups, it’s important to have a plan for what to do when things go wrong.
If there is an issue our first step is to communicate with the client and try to get to the heart of the issue. Art can be wildly subjective so resolving any issues means having an open and honest conversation so I can understand the problem the way the couple sees it. Once we’ve established the problem, then we can start to put together a solution - a credit, a partial refund, a reshoot? There are a lot of options to try and turn a bad experience into something positive.
So much of this business relies on happy referrals and turning clients into evangelists for the business, so it’s pretty important that we try to keep people happy when we can.
